Abstract

The purpose of the bachelor thesis is to compare the ways of getting employment among individual groups in the labor market. The bachelor thesis consists of theoretical and practical part and is divided into 6 chapters, including the introduction and the conclusion. The theoretical part focuses on the definition of basic concepts, the labor market, supply and demand in the labor market, defines the difference between work and employment and the describes unemployment, basic aspects of job search and the definition of individual steps in finding a job. This section describes the effectiveness of selected job search methods. The conclusion of the theoretical part is focuses to Survey of Consumer Expectatons data and it‘s additional model Survey of Consumer Expectatons – Labor Market Survey. The practical part focused the methods of seeking employment in the USA between employed and unemployed.
