Abstract

The manin purpose of this diploma thesis “The Company Competitiveness” is to analyze the competitivenes of KOPOS KOLÍN a.s., This company specializes in manufacturing wiring materials, using analysis of its external and internal environment of the company. Additionally, another purpose of the Thesis is to evaluate outcomes of the analysis, determine the competitive advantage of the company and suggest further measures to improve its competitiveness and its market position. The Diploma Thesis is divided into several parts. The first part deals with theoretical findings in the field of competitiveness. The second part presents the particular company – KOPOS KOLÍN a.s. The following parts apply methods of the theoretical part onto the specific case of the analyzed company, namely PEST Analysis, Porter’s Analysis, Simplified Financial Analysis, Questionnaire Survey and SWOT Analysis. Finally, after evaluation of the above analysis, the competitive advantage of the company is determined and appropriate recommendations for any further improvement are suggested.
