Abstract

The main task of my diploma thesis is the collection and monitoring of the operation parameters of the coke oven gas desulphurization technology on ArcelorMittal Ostrava s.r.o. Next to create a balance model of technology that can be used operationally when adjusting operating parameters. This thesis is divided into two parts. In first theoretically part I focus on the description of coke technology. In addition, the coke oven desulfurization methods used in Czech coke plant are presented, with the greatest attention being paid to the desulfurization in the ammoniacal way used on our coking plant. The following is a description of the absorption process, including the columns used. In the practical part of my diploma thesis is first created a balance model, followed by verification of its correctness. After the long-term trends have been drawn from the selected operating values, measures are proposed to optimize the operation of the technology.
