Abstract

The thesis deals with the analysis of the damaged samples from two tools for reversed extrusion that are made of 34CrMo4 steel and the Inconel 625 layer is welded on it. The tools were designed for reversed extrusion of seamless bottles, but on the surface showed up significant degradation that interfered with the base material. The macrostructure of the samples was evaluated, and the samples were evaluated by light microscopy and scanning electron microscopy. Micro-purity of the basic material, HV0.5 microhardness and HV10 hardness were evaluated. The overall chemical composition and composition of the phases found in the microstructure were analyzed. The damaged samples were confronted with samples of unused tool on which the same tests were performed.
