Abstract

These days, many companies use the so-called user portals that primarily serve to customers - for instance, they can handle requests from home, see reports, or pay the bills for ordered services. From the user´s perspective, it is essential that such portal meets a certain standard. It should have a pleasant appearance, corresponding structure, and it should be well arranged and functional. The aim of this thesis was to design changes in the solution of the Client´s company based on a benchmark comparison with competing portals, including a recommendation on implementing or not implementing optimization for mobile devices. The first part describes theoretical background, mainly different concepts of User-experience, the above-mentioned benchmarking and types of research. The data was collected using the method of personal interviews with ordinary Internet users. The analytical part describes individual portals and then the research results. The last chapter proposes concrete recommendations and proposals for changes, which are also shown graphically.
