Abstract

This master's thesis deals with protection systems used in the marine industry, specifically for generators and transformers. The objective is to develop control logic between two different protection relays and subsequently create training exercises to test the protective functions. The theoretical part addresses the principles of generator protection, focusing on differential protection for generators and transformers. The following chapter describes the electrical power system of a specific cruise ship, and the final chapter presents the test panel with protection relays, which is utilized in the practical part of the thesis.
