Abstract
This bachelor thesis focuses on the analysis of profitability and liquidity development in the selected trading company. The main aim of the thesis is to evaluate the financial situation of the company using selected methods of financial analysis. The theoretical part is focused on the characteristics of financial analysis, its methods and indicators. In the practical part, vertical and horizontal analyses of the balance sheet, income statement and cash flow statement were carried out. Furthermore, profitability and liquidity indicators were analysed and a pyramid decomposition of the return on equity indicator was performed. Based on the obtained results, the development of the company’s financial situation in the years 2020–2024 was evaluated.
