Změna ekonomického modelu růstu v České republice

Abstract

This Bachelor thesis is dealing with the change of economic growth model in Czech Republic and it’s purpose is to desing set of steps leading to sustainable economic growth that will be based on knowledge, inovations and technologies. Czech Republic as well as other CEE countries went through economic transformation at the end of the 20th century. This transformation had, based on analysed data, several implications on economy. The first par of the Bachelor thesis is dealing with theoretical concepts of economic growth and offers rewiev of empirical literature that is focused on impact of institutions on economic growth. The second part of thesis contains basic knowledge on economical transformation in Czech Republic and economic development since the year 1989. Used methods for comparison of the Czech Republic with other countries that went through transformation and Austria are descriptive and comparative analysis. Economic growth of Czech Republic is decomposed by growth accounting method. The third part of thesis is dealing with current economic situation, institutional framework and proposes measures to promote education, science, research, inovations and entrepreneurship, which should change the structure of economy in several years.
