Abstract

The topic of my bachelor’s thesis is a popular tourist destination – Cuba. My objective is to describe this country, its capital and mainly the development and current state of tourism.

The theoretic parts concentrate on tourism, its forms, kinds and services provided the explanation of which is based on my professional literature study.

In the practical part I focus on the description of the country, its characteristics, history, tourism development and other circumstances that affected its development. Using the SWOT analysis, I define the current condition, possible chances and dangers affecting the development of tourism.

Based on the analysis, I propose steps to achieve effective utilization of advantages and to minimize the adverse effects.
