Abstract

This bachelor thesis focuses on the characterization of the Akmeshit Cave located in southern Kazakhstan in the Karatau Mountains. The aim of the thesis is to analyze the natural conditions of the wider region, describe the geological origin, morphology, and microclimate of the cave, and evaluate its significance for the development of tourism. The first part of the thesis deals with the natural and cultural-historical characteristics of southern Kazakhstan. The second part focuses on the Akmeshit Cave itself and its specific natural features. The final part presents a concept of a geotourism excursion, including a proposal for educational panels. The thesis highlights the tourism potential of the site and its importance in terms of natural heritage protection and sustainable tourism development.
