Abstract

The main objective of this thesis, except general theoretical description of pig iron production, is to inform about the changes made in the production process, which is necessary to implement during commissioning of pulverized coal injection technology. It is also taken into account the technical and economical indicators of pig iron production and the operation and productivity of blast furnaces in terms of Třinecké železárny a.s.. The experimental part is focused on the analysis of filling with the use of acoustic measurement system for gas temperature at the blast furnace throut, the effect of the injected amount of pulverized coal on the theoretical combustion temperature in the oxidation area of the blast furnace.
