Zpracování živců z Poběžovicko-Domažlické oblasti a jejich využití v keramickém průmyslu.

Abstract

This bachelor’s thesis deals with the issue of ceramic raw materials, particularly feldspar from the Chodsko region, its geological conditions, mining, processing, properties, and its use in the ceramic industry. The aim and the central part of this thesis is to describe the processing of feldspar raw materials from the Poběžovice–Domažlice area and to assess the possibility of using basalt dust as an additive in a mixture with feldspar. The work uses feldspar samples from the Poběžovice–Domažlice region, specifically the sodium–potassium feldspar sample Ž55NaK60 from the Luženičky quarry, the sodium–calcium feldspar sample Ž80NaCa40 from the Ždánov quarry, and basalt powder from the basalt quarry in Bílčice in the Moravian-Silesian Region. The result of the thesis is a summary of the processing of feldspar from the Poběžovice–Domažlice area together with its use in the ceramic industry, as well as an evaluation of the behavior of the feldspar–basalt mixture during firing.
