Abstract

The thesis deals with the design process model of temperature and flow model for steel continuous casting machine in the environment ProCast. There are described fundamental equations of heat transfer in primary, secondary and tertiary cooling. Boundary conditions have been proposed for each cooling zone. Influence of changes in casting speed on surface temperature and the metallurgical length for the six simulation exercises was evaluated on thermal model for rectangular cross-section billet with dimensions of 150 x 150 mm. Achievements will be used for verification and validation of the model.
