Abstract

In this Bachelor Thesis, I am dealing with the problems related to development of the face block located in the bottom slice of the already exploited longwall face. It is about the development of the future air head, entry and cross heading. It tackles the problems of ventilation, the methods of breaking, face supports, completion and other operations necessary for preparation of this face block. I consider the drainage of the area as one of important and disputable parts of the development so most of my attention will be paid to this part.
