Abstract

Spreading at the hot rolling is a very important effect and it’s knowledge depends on the process of the rolling technology and also the quality of the finished rolled product. It is influenced by many factors that have a major influence on the final shape of the finished rolled product and on its resulting properties. The theoretical part of this thesis is devoted to the analysis of individual factors that influence the course and size the spread during hot rolling. Influence of chemical composition and temperature on spreading at hot rolling was studied in practical part of thesis. An experimental rolling at temperatures of 850 °C and 950 °C was conducted on 29 types of low-alloy steels. Measured values were used to calculate the index of spreading for each ivestigated steel which was used to subsequently evaluate degree of spreading depending on the temperature. Mathematical model that was used to describe degree of spreading of the deformation temperatures depending on the chemical composition of the investigated steels was created regression analysis in statistical software UNISTAT 5.6.
