Abstract

This dissertation is considering about study of options how to use metallurgical slag which are created with raw iron and steel in Třinecké železárny, a.s. as alternative binder for concrete mixtures and asphalt mixtures. In theoretical part there are characterized Třinecké železárny, a.s. as metallurgical company with closed metallurgical operation cycle then creation then characteristics and especially options how to use blast furnace slag and steel slag for production building material. Theoretical part includes technical requierements asked for metallurgical slags according to force czech technical standarts in building industry. Practical part is focused on experimental veryfying options how to use blast furnace slag which is created with concrete mixture and steel slag which is created with asphalt mixture.
