Uživatelsky rozšiřitelný slovník založený na spolupráci davu

Abstract

This master thesis builds on my previous bachelor thesis „User-Extensible Dictionary”, where there was created a local desktop application (fat client). The dictionary offered common user interface with the possibility to create user-specific translations and their sharing. By sharing user dictionaries, the scope and possibilities of the dictionary are expanded further, including the chance of improving the quality of its content. This sharing means crowdsourcing is involved. Administrator role was created because of the need for quality checks. Web server was created in C# language with .NET technology. Dictionary data is saved in XML using XDXF standard, which allows obtaining or updating the content of dictionary data. A basic English-Czech dictionary is included. This dictionary can be expanded further.
