Abstract

This thesis deals with inventory control of finished goods in a particular company. Using available literature, internet resources and own experience in production planning department it focuses on analysis of current situation in the company. Describes present system of inventory control of finished goods and seeks for improvement possibilities in inventory control. The goal of the thesis is to propose measurements to existing system in order to decrease average physical inventory thus reducing financial resources bound in production designated for dispatch. The main tool for finding steps towards improvement is ABC analysis of inventory items carried out at the dispatch warehouse.
