Politika zaměstnanosti ve vybraných zemích EU

Abstract

The theme of the Bachelor paper focuses primarily on the labour policy in the EU countries. In the introductory section of the theoretical part of the paper I concentrate on a general concept of labour policy as such, on its instruments, its classification within active and passive policy. Then I focus on the labour policy of the European Union, its targets to help the EU member states and strategies which were created in the course of last century to support the EU member states in the fight against unemployment and, last but not least, programmes and services to help individuals find a job. In the practical part I pay my attention to three selected EU countries (Czech Republic, Denmark, Great Britain), each suffering from different unemployment problems. For each of the chosen countries I describe the impact of the labour policy. First of all, I focus on national reform plans where each country states targets to achieve within a given period. In the last section of the paper I concentrate in more detail on a strategy that should, according to the latest research, be more efficient than the previous ones and should positively influence the employment increase of all age groups in the EU member states.
