Digitální transformace jako nástroj odstraňovaní překážek fungování vnitřního trhu Evropské unie na příkladu České republiky

Abstract

The Internal Market of the European Union is based on the free movement of goods, services, persons, and capital among its member countries. This economic space faces a number of obstacles that hinder the full utilization of its potential. In response to this situation, the European Union has declared digital transformation as its priority, reflecting the urgent need for a unified approach to removing barriers. The aim of the thesis is to evaluate and characterize the level of digital progress in the Czech Republic through selected indices for the analysis of digital transformation and based on the findings, to formulate proposals for utilizing the Czech potential in the field of digitalization, which aim for a comprehensive transformation of the Czech Republic into a modern, innovative, and digitally advanced country. The thesis is divided into three parts. The first part focuses on defining digitalization and the internal market of the European Union. The second part characterizes the development of digital transformation in the European Union, particularly describing the digital goals and digital strategy of the European Union. An indicator used to assess the success of digital goals is the European Union's Digital Economy and Society Index. In the conclusion of the thesis, an analysis of the level of digital transformation in the Czech Republic is carried out through selected indices, and based on these, proposals are made in the thesis that could help the Czech Republic.
