Abstract

The aim of this bachelor thesis was the problem of surface preparation before coating layers on automotive parts. The theoretical part of the thesis briefly characterizes the procedures of material surface pretreatment and coating procedures on prepared surfaces of aluminium alloy material. Furthermore, the methodologies for testing the adhesion of the coating to the surface of the base material are addressed. In the practical part of this thesis, a grid test of the adhesion of the coating to the surface of the material is practically solved and evaluated. Here, the evaluation of the adhesion of the coating to the aluminium alloy surface is performed on a test specimen, a painted original body part, and on the surface of an aluminium alloy automotive part that has been physically painted under domestic conditions. At the end of the work, the measurement results were evaluated.
