Abstract

This diploma thesis deals with the security of computer networks, workstations and data protection.

The thesis describes the history of computer security development, describes possible threats and cyber attacks, which are very widespread. The following are chapters on data protection, GDPR, and cyber security, networks, computer stations, and relevant data. Finally, there is a proposal for optimal security and development of a program to prevent external hardware from connecting to computer stations, which should be used to eliminate any threats associated with this connection.
