Abstract
The Bachelor´s thesis deals with the issue of inoculation of EN AW-3003 aluminium alloy with content of zirconium produced using TRC technology. The subjects of the theoretical part are: 3xxx aluminium alloys series, nucleation, inoculation of aluminium alloys, TRC technology and foils. The basic principle of grain refinement is described in the part about inoculation and special attention is focused on zirconium containing aluminium alloys with "poisoning effect".
The content of practical part is the verification of grain refining effect on EN AW-3003 alloy with content of zirconium on its microstructure. The results of laboratory experiments with EN AW-3003+Zr in which the different methods of inoculation of laboratory-prepared samples were examined are in the first part. The second part examines samples from production that have been inoculated in various ways. In the discussion and the conclusion the individual ways of inoculation are compared.
