Abstract

The bachelor’s thesis focuses on the development of a web application for processing, visualizing and analyzing the results of the 2023 presidential elections in the Czech Republic. The visualization of election results is divided by levels of foreign countries and further into regions, districts, and municipalities of the Czech Republic. The data used for development and analysis were obtained from an open data web portal for election results. The text includes descriptions of the data files, technologies used, implementation methodologies, and an analysis of selected charts. The following technologies were utilized for the development of the web application: GeoJSON for visualizing election results, JavaScript and Python along with the Django framework, and SQLite for database operations. The final web application provides users with the ability to analyze visualized election results through various display modes on multiple map levels.
