Abstract

The thesis is focused on using of the methods of direct of thermal analysis on large samples for the determination of high-temperature phase transformations - solidus and liquidus temperatures. The first chapter of this diploma thesis is devoted to distribution and description of methods of thermal analysis. In the next section, a literary analysis is realised that deals with the characteristics of the laboratory determination of the solidus and liquidus temperatures. Next part is devoted to experimental equipment and methodology of interpreting the experimental data. Subsequently, the obtained results with the knowledge gained by study by direct thermal analysis were compared. The conclusion summarizes the results of experimental work the final conclusions are postulated.
