Abstract

This diploma thesis deals with the natural degradation of leachate from old reclaimed landfill using biological pond. Landfill Hamra is represented with solid waste, which is currently already reclaimed, with limited formation of leachate. On locality leachate is disposed with natural biological process and then is let out into surface outfall. The main issue of this topic is long-term effectiveness of natural degradation of leachate and their limits. During solving of fundamental issues were used database of analytical determinations collected from long-term monitoring of landfill sites. Based on this monitoring were found and described primary degradation trends and long-term development.
