Abstract
The presented bachelor thesis deals with the design and assessment of a load-bearing steel structure for load transfer from the BC4 spoil heaps and associated technological equipment of the deep-water storage tank in Třinec Ironworks.
In order to properly design and assess the structure, it was necessary to create a numerical calculation model in Scia Engineer software. The input data provided by Institut of Steel Structures, Ltd. were used in its creation.
The assessment of the steel structure was carried out by Scia Engineer and then the selected elements and connections were assessed by manual calculation.
The structure was assessed according to the valid European standards, the so-called Eurocodes, taking into account the Czech national standards and national supplements.
Project documentation containing clear drawings of the structure has been prepared for the proposed steel structure.
