This bachelor thesis deals with financial analysis which at present forms an inseparable part of complex financial management in successful businesses. It presents a comprehensive picture of a company financial situation and its development.
My thesis focused on assessment of Holcim Company (Česko), a. s. in 2005 – 2008 by financial analysis method.
The study is divided into three parts. Its first part describes a company whose outcomes will be assessed by a financial analysis. Its second part, a theoretical one, contains some general information regarding financial analysis. It copes with basic methods and techniques applied in processing financial analysis which will later be employed in the practical part. Contents of the practical part is then implementation of own financial analysis by means of horizontal and vertical analysis, chosen ratio indicators and also via two predictive models.
