Abstract

The aim of this bachelor thesis is not only to supply a definite overview of trade marks issues and domain name protection as well as to suggest possible solution that would improve current situation especially in registration issues. First part of this paper describes the meaning, function and system of registration of trade marks and domain names. Next part is focused on topics of disputes over the ownership of trade marks and domain names. Moreover, this dissertation introduces the ways in which the rights of a third party can be violated.Finally, the last part discusses a sample case on a base of which a possible solutions are suggested. These suggestions could be seen as possible improvements in future of trade marks and domain protection.
