Abstract

This diploma thesis focuses on the evaluation of the financial performance of a selected business company operating in the automotive industry during the period 2020–2024. The aim of the thesis is to assess the economic performance and financial stability of the company using selected financial analysis tools. The analysis is primarily based on financial ratios, bankruptcy models, and creditworthiness models, which provide a comprehensive view of the company’s financial health and its ability to generate profit. The thesis also includes the identification of strengths and weaknesses, opportunities and threats using SWOT analysis and the assessment of the competitive environment using Porter’s Five Forces model. The Fuller multi-criteria decision-making method is applied to determine the importance of individual factors. The analysis also reflects the specific characteristics of the automotive industry, particularly its capital intensity, high level of competition, and pressure on operational efficiency. Based on the conducted analyses, key factors influencing the company’s performance are identified, and the financial health and competitiveness of the business company are comprehensively evaluated.
