Abstract
The aim of the bachelor thesis was to evaluate the properties and corrosion resistance of drills made from high-speed steel. For this purpose were conducted tests on selected drills such as drilling performance, surface roughness of drilled holes, metallurgical evaluation of the structure of high-speed steel and PVD coatings deposited on the examined types of drills. In the last section of the work was performed evaluation of the corrosion resistance after exposition of samples into salt chamber.
