Závislost Ruska na vývozu energetických surovin

Abstract

This bachelor thesis focuses on the Russian Federation's dependence on energy exports, specifically oil and natural gas, over the period 2016-2023. The aim is to determine whether the Russian economy is dependent on these exports and to assess the economic impact of this dependence. The paper analyses the share of energy raw materials in total exports and tracks changes in export flows in the context of international sanctions. It uses data from UN Trade and Development (UNCTAD), World Bank, International Energy Agency (IEA), Federal Customs Service of the Russian Federation (FCS RF) and other official sources. The focus is on the impacts of export dependence on economic stability and institutional governance of natural resource revenues. Based on the findings, the paper proposes strategic measures to reduce the risks associated with commodity dependence.
