Abstract

This bachelor thesis describes the antitrust policy in the Czech Republic and the thesis is divided into the theoretical and the practical part. Antitrust policy aims to ensure the functioning of the markets in accordance with the rules of competition. Are described theoretical bases of the antitrust policy, the market structure and economic school, which have a different opinion on the question of how to make antitrust policy. Author of antitrust policy in the Czech Republic, the Office for Protection of the Competition, has determined three pillars of protection of the competition; these pillars correspond to the instruments of maker antitrust policy. The aim is to evaluate the effectiveness of antitrust policy on the bases of the analysis of specific sectors. They selected two sectors transport and energy, the energy sector is divided on the market for electricity and gas market.
