Abstract
This thesis concerns with study of electrokinetic phenomena, especially zeta potential of clay minerals. In fact, zeta potential is one of the most exploited quality of fine-grained clay soils and relates with surface charge. It´s proved, that numerical value of this quantity affects physical and chemical properties. In the majority of cases we can regulate value of zeta potential and take advantage of usage in many branches of industry.In the theoretical part of work there are described clays as colloids with their characteristic qualities. Among others electric double layer principles there are also launched in detail. In the practical part of work there are described used analytical methods. Experiment results are evaluated in detail.
