Abstract

The thesis is focused on the analysis of project management within a selected company operating in the field of information technology. The theoretical part defines the basic concepts and key information related to project management. The practical part characterizes the environment of the selected company and describes the processing method using a P3O audit, which represents an evaluation process aimed at analyzing and optimizing the structure and activities of project, programme, and portfolio offices across selected areas. The analysis is conducted by an evaluation team, which assesses the current level of maturity against the desired target state at each level. The output of the thesis is an action plan that proposes steps for improvement in identified areas related to portfolios, programmes, and projects. The action plan will serve as a practical basis for the optimization of project management processes within the selected company.
