Ekonomické aspekty odsunu sudetských Němců ze Šumperska

Abstract

The aim of this thesis is to outline the reasons for the expulsion of Sudeten Germans and primarily to determine the economic impact of the expulsion for Šumperk region. Causes, development, national tendencies and consequences of the expulsion of the Germans are gradually analysed in three subsequent chapters with the focus on the economy of Šumperk region. The conclusion of the research is the finding that the expulsion of the Germans has had a considerable impact on the economic structure up to the present. Around 3000 villages and settlements disappeared in the border territory, in Šumperk region it was around 20.
