Abstract

This bachelor thesis can be separated into three main sections. First section describes the his-tory and contruction of high-voltage cables. We learn about materials used in cables and what types of insulation exist. In second section we describe individual characteristic parametrs. Insulation re-sistence, power loss factor, line capacitance and apparent power are described there. Third section is separated into theoretical part and practical part. First part is general describtion of partial discharges and in the second part the measurment of partial discharges on single fase high-voltage cable is takes place.
