Abstract

The diploma thesis is focused on the financing of hospitals AGEL Středomoravská nemocniční a.s., which belongs to the holding AGEL a.s. and consists of three hospitals. The aim of the diploma thesis is to evaluate the financing of hospitals for the period 2010-2019 with the help of financial analysis. The diploma thesis is divided into theoretical and practical part. The theoretical part is focused on the definition of basic theoretical concepts in the areas of health policy, health care, health care financing and the structure of the network of health care providers in the Czech Republic. The practical part of the work is focused on the analysis of the care provided and the analysis of the management of the selected hospital. The financial analysis was performed using ratios. Based on the economic results, it can be stated that the hospital for the period under review makes a profit with a declining trend in sales.
