Stanislav Lichorobiec, Ph.D. This bachelor thesis deals with the evalution of the effect of gunpowder temperature on velocity and accuracy of bullets in short weapons. The work describes the factors that affect the bullets velocity and their trajectory. Through the physico-chemical method there is described the effect of gunpowder temperature on its burning rate. Further the work presents the results of three previously performed studies focusing on the issue of the influence of gunpowder temperature changes on its ballistic properties. The practical part inludes the hypotheses formulation based on the knowledge from the theoretical part and the compilation of a suitable experiment to test them. After processing the data from the performed experiment, the hypotheses are evaluated and the results of the work are summarized in the final discussion.
