Abstract

This thesis deals with investigation of toxic substances, that remains in firefighter gear after residental fires. At the beginning are basic reasons why this issue is important. Another chapter is theoretical part about toxic substances appeared in case of fire. It is focused on development of cancer, This cancer may be caused by polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons. Practical part characterizes the experimental measurement. It includes the methodology and process of the investigation of toxic substances. There is also evaluation of the measured swatches. In the conclusions is a summary of the work done and another aspects for further investigation are proposed.
