Abstract
The submitted bachelor's thesis deals with the remediation of thermally active spoil
heaps worldwide. The main objective of the thesis is to describe technologies used for the
remediation of thermally active spoil heaps around the world, the causes of their formation,
technologies for monitoring thermal activity, and recommendations on how to utilize practical
experience from other countries for the remediation of thermally active spoil heaps.
