Komprese dat různými výběry gramatických pravidel

Abstract

Datová komprese je jedním z klíčových prvků v informačních technologiích, umožňuje efektivní zpracovaní a ukládaní dat. Zahrnuje množství různých technik a algoritmů, s cílem snížení nákladů na přenos a ukládaní informací. V této práci jsou uvedeny základy datové komprese a kompresní algoritmy založené na gramatice. Zaměřeno je se především na algoritmus Re-Pair, který je založen na bezkontextové gramatice. Tato práce zahrnuje implementaci algoritmu Re-Pair a také návrh a implementaci odlišných způsobů výběru nahrazovacích pravidel a jejich porovnání s originální implementací výběru pravidel daného algoritmu.

Data compression is one of the key elements in information technology, which enables us to effectively process and store data. It involves many diverse techniques and algorithms, with goals of reducing cost of transferring and storing information. In this thesis there are mentions about basics of data compression and grammar-based compression algorithms.Main focus is on algorithm Re-Pair, which is based on context-free grammar.This thesis contains implementation of Re-Pair algorithm and also design and implementation of different types of selection production rules and comparing them with the original method of selection.
