Due to the increasing number and emergence of new threats associated with the gradual modernization and introduction of new technologies, critical infrastructure is becoming increasingly vulnerable. In order to maintain its functioning, it is essential that its actors and other external actors focus on strengthening its resilience. For this reason, the master thesis deals with possible approaches and methods of strengthening critical infrastructure resilience. The theoretical part is devoted to the description of the critical infrastructure system, its resilience and railway infrastructure. The second part, the analysis of the issues addressed, deals with the analysis of current security threats threatening the railway infrastructure and the analysis of approaches and methods of strengthening resilience. The last, main part of the work is the design of the usability of tools suitable for strengthening the individual determinants of critical infrastructure resilience to selected threats.
