Abstract
Alkali activated systems belong to the relatively new types of materials of the group consisting of inorganic binders, which are formed by alkali activation of latent hydraulic substances.
The aim of this thesis is to verify selected properties of fine-grained alkali activated materials based on finely ground granulated blast furnace slag and based on characteristics of assessing the feasibility of its use for the production of plasters, grouts and any other applications.
At the beginning of the experiment, processability, shrinkage and adhesion of applied layers was observed. In next phase of the research, the determination of basic physical-mechanical and durability properties were evaluated. The last stage was to evaluate the applicability of alkali-activated plasters and grouts.
Based on the findings of properties, mixtures prepared of these materials can be due to the relatively high tensile and pressure recommended for applications such as repair materials, repair mortar, soccle plaster or stone grouting mortar.
Work has shown that alkali activated systems have potential in grouts, there is however a need for further adjustment of the fine-grained material recipe, to minimize shrinkage of the composite.
