Abstract

The aim of this thesis called „Kaizen – 5S implementation in CNM textil a.s.“ is introduction to KAIZEN philosophy and its contributions for improvement of all company processes. Theoretical part briefly introduces KAIZEN philosophy, basic principles, procedures and contributions. It concentrates on KAIZEN for individuals and small groups. Methodology of 5S has been described there together with wastes, visual management and suggestion systems. Another group of KAIZEN methods described in the theoretical part is KAIZEN focused on teams and problem solving using following methods – PDCA and quality circles. Methods which focuse on management have also been described (e.g.TQC, JIT, TPM, Policy deployment ) In the practical part the 5S method was implemented in the CNM textil a.s. company. Its business activity is a purchase, finishing and sales of linen and cotton fabrics. 5S was implemented in 3 steps according to the procedure described in detail in the practical part. The conlusion of this thesis contains contributions of 5S implementation and a proposal of next steps.
