Abstract
The thesis deals with Petri nets and their possible use for process control.
The first part explains the basic concepts of systems theory, such as the state of a system, characteristics of the system, the system model, the critical path method.
Follows another part of the thesis dealing with Petri nets which describes theoretically principle, types and applications of Petri nets and also the possibility of use Petri nets for process control in practice.
