Vztah mezi minerálním složením, strukturou a mechanickými vlastnostmi pískovců z lokality Řeka

Abstract

Translated diploma thesis is concerned relation between mineral composition, structure and mechanical properties of sandstones from the locality Řeka. The diploma thesis deals rock environment and contact of Eastern most part of the Bohemia massif with another Carpathians flysh zones which belong to Westerne Carpathians orogen. Part of this work is to measure structural tectonic elements in the quarry Řeka using geological compass, sampling and pre-processing for laboratory work. Laboratory work describes the treatment of samples for further laboratory applications, also deals the macroscopic and microscopic description of the studied samples using a polarizing microscope, measuring the velocity of longitudinal waves using ultrasound and determination of rock strength in compression. The results of this thesis include a complex structural analysis of tectonic relation of sandstones in the Řeka and its influence on the geomechanical properties of the studied rocks.
