Abstract

The presented thesis deals with a study of the susceptibility of TRIP steels used in auto-body construction to hydrogen embrittlement. The hydrogen embrittlement can be caused in these type of steels by technological treatment before hot-dip galvanization. The effect of hydrogen on TRIP 800 was studied by means of tensile tests on specimens charged by hydrogen in two ways. The first was carried out during tensile tests, and the second was carried out immediately before tensile tests. The qualitative and quantitative fractographic analyses of fracture surfaces were carried out for complexity of the influence of hydrogen on TRIP 800 steel. Fractal analysis was used as a method of quantitative fractographic analysis.
