Abstract
The aim of this diploma thesis is the Comparison of Fire Protection in the Czech Republic and Selected European Countries. The first part focuses on description of the organisational structure of fire protection, their units and financing. The work also reviews their educational system, status and scope of volunteering firefighters.
The second part provides comparison of selected criteria which are setting the recommendations and suggestions for the Czech Republic.
