Abstract

The main topic of the diploma thesis is the methodology of dustiness decreasing and the applicability of the waste dump. The research is engaged in the waste dump caused by the brown coal transport in the open pit mines. The main attention is devoted to the conveyor belts, primarily to the transfer points with maximum of dust concentration. The first part of the diploma thesis is focused to the sources of the dustiness during the coal transport and to the environmental dangers. The methodology of dustiness decreasing by wet and dry method including the evaluation of benefits and disadvantages of these methods is described in the following part of this work. The main part of the diploma thesis is devoted to evaluation of data about properties of samples collected during dry method of dustiness decreasing. This method can work during all year, it has economically advantageous and it enables dust sampling. The conclusion is focused to the recommendation of this raw material application.
